EVO Power's NEO Series 1MW / 2MWh BESS
NEO Series 1MW / 2 MWh Battery Energy Storage System chosen for Essential Energy project in Sovereign Hills NSW.

EVO Power is proud that our NEO Series 1MW / 2MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) was chosen for Essential Energy project in the Sovereign Hills area of Port Macquarie, New South Wales. It was great to work with the AGL team to deliver such an important project which has been designed to unlock network capacity to help manage the growing energy demands of the area.
EVO Power’s NEO is an AC-Coupled Turnkey BESS which has been engineered with value, flexibility, and scalability in mind. The system utilises Liquid-Cooled Energy Storage technology, Built-in Energy Management System (EMS), Integrated Fire-Suppression System, In-built Auxiliary Power Supply and Back-up Power functionality.
The NEO Series EMS facilitates the capturing and storing of locally produced renewable energy during the day and discharging it back into the network during peak demand periods, helping Sovereign Hills businesses and a growing population meet its energy requirements.
The implementation of the Sovereign Hills NEO Utility-Scale Storage technology is just another way EVO Power is working with its key partners to build and connect communities to the energy network of the future.
Our Major Accounts & Marketing Director Olivier Fevrier was invited by the AGL and Essential Energy Team for the official launch. We like to send a big thank you to AGL’s General Manager of Commercial and Industrial Customers, Ryan Warburton, Clare Meeker & Tim Wang and Essential Energy’s Chief Executive Officer John Cleland, and Warwick Crowfoot. We look forward to work on many more of these projects together.
